What started with a love for people
& food became a heart for listening

In college I earned a bachelor’s in Hospitality Administration, because I loved people and food. Hospitality was an incredible space for me to create dynamic experiences for guests, and I held multiple management roles where I was able to inspire teams to do the same. But I realized the hospitality industry was not for me. So, I pivoted and moved to China for 2 years to teach English. While there, I met a gentleman at Starbucks who had an Amazon store valued at $1M, and he needed a native English speaker to help write product descriptions. As an avid writer, both in creative and professional spaces, I began working for him as copywriter. I was eventually promoted to Creative Director and then COO of his growing, intercontinental company, wherein I acted as processes consultant and engineer. From there, I began offering the same services to other clients, in a variety of industries, from real estate to higher education, and worked as a project manager of field researchers responding directly to clients. Prioritizing for my clients, and my clients’ clients, I’ve developed my skills in user research, service design, and content strategy, and realized UX was a big missing piece for myself and my clients. I then completed General Assembly’s UX Design Immersive program, where I found my calling. I’m still serving previous clients in a new capacity yet seeking a full-time opportunity where I can simultaneously learn and apply my valued experience and skillset.
